  • Yearly Target: Mason County was  .26 behind our average GPA goal for the 2022-2023 school year (most recent data collection).  Our target for 2025-2026 is to close the gap by at least .06, achieving a county-wide junior year GPA average of 2.8.
  • 2030 Target: We will aim to increase the junior year GPA average by at least .6 each year to reach our 3.0 goal by 2030.

  • Yearly Target: Mason County is 18% behind our FAFSA completion goal for the 2024-2025 school year. Our target for 2025-2026 is to close the gap by at least 3%, achieving a county-wide completion rate of  60%. 
  • 2030 Target: We will aim to increase the FAFSA completion rate by at least 3% each year to reach our 75% goal by 2030.


Statewide Data: As of 7/28/25, there were 61,253 (51.8%) Michigan students in the Class of 2025 who completed a FAFSA, compared with 55,270 (47.1%) in the Class of 2024 at this time last year.

  • Yearly Target: Mason County was 22.3% below our Post-Secondary Enrollment goal for the 2023-2024 school year. Our target  for the class of 2024-2025 is to close the  gap by 5% within 6 months of high school graduation (November 2025), achieving a county-wide enrollment rate of 57.7%. 
  • 2030 Target: We will aim to increase the Post-Secondary Enrollment Rate within 6 Months of Graduation by 5% each year to reach our 75% goal by 2030.





Statewide Data: 61.1% of MI students who graduated high school between 2015 and 2023 enrolled in college within 12 months. This is a 1% decrease from the previous year's data.

  • Yearly Target: 37.5% of the high school class of '18-'19 completed a post-secondary credential within 6 years of graduation, 22.7% below Mason County's goal. Our target for the class of '19-'20 is to close the gap by 5% within 6 years of graduation (2026), achieving a county-wide completion rate for the class of '19-'20 of 42.5%. This year, we will work to see a completion increase of 12.7% for the class of '19-'20.
  • 2030 Target: We will aim to increase the College Completion Rate within 6 Years of High School Graduation by 5% for each graduating class, ensuring that the class of '22-'23 meets our 60% goal by 2030. 


Statewide Data: According to the Lumina Foundation,  in 2023, 40.6% of the labor force ages 25-64 in Michigan had a post-high school degree, certificate, or certification, and wages and salaries at least 15% above a high school graduate’s median earnings. Michigan is 19.6% short of the statewide 60% completion goal and 34.4% short of the nationwide 75% completion goal.
