About Shelly

Shelly Keene is the Executive Director at Michigan Works! West Central where she oversees the employment and training programs in a six-county region. She has been with Michigan Works! West Central since 2016, serving the first three years as Deputy Director before being named Executive Director in March 2019. Prior to joining Michigan Works! West Central she spent 18 years working at EightCAP Inc., where she began working in the Head Start department and spent her last 7 years there working in the Employment and Training Department. She has a Bachelor of Applied Arts in Child Development from Central Michigan University, and Master of Business Administration in Project Management from the American InterContinental University. She also is a Certified LMI Data Solutions Professional and a Certified Business Solutions Professional, both through the State of Michigan.
